TPP Unit Reflection.
Personal Reflection.
The TPP unit overall has been an enjoyable yet challenging experience. The tutors Rachel and Carys and the generous peer group have really ensured a great environment for sharing ideas and expressing oneself.
The greatest challenge of the unit has been time management. Managing the unit alongside, work and personal commitments have been incredibly complicated. The Unit started at the beginning of the year in the Spring term, the Spring term workwise is the busiest time of year for the students, but also for the staff. There are lots of assessments, SITS applications and interviews, transitioning between three units, exam boards and other responsibilities. These external pressures limited the time I was able to invest into the Unit fully unfortunately, but I am still proud of my achievements.
Some of the highlights of the unit were the small breakout discourses we had with peers in our online teaching sessions. It was nice to ideate on the activities, get distracted and find common ground on experiences. Being in a Learning environment with technicians and other none teaching staff was really refreshing and rewarding.
In regard to the manifesto I wrote at the beginning of the unit, I think I adhered to it well, and found it useful at times to orientate myself around my interests and values. Many of the Blog Posts and Case Studies most definitely adhered to the principles I set, around Practicality, Inclusivity, Selfishness and being A Little Ugly. Which I am pleased with. For the Inclusive Practice Unit, there are no huge changes I am going to make to the manifesto, maybe using it more as a device for reflection might be useful. I look forward to the next unit.
